What You Will Do

Responsibility will be far greater than other internships. The Technology

We have a simple technology philosophy. Anything and everything should be automated.

The front-end of our platform is currently built on JS Webapps. The back-end is built entirely on Microservices architecture.

These together allows us to easily deal with the multitude of complex and different workflows that could go into selling different insurance products in different places.

Currently we get things done with Angular, Typescript, PHP, and AWS, however we don’t limit our selection to these technologies, we believe that a good engineer can rapidly pick up any technology.

The Job

We’re looking for a Senior Back-end Software Engineer who’s keen to take on big projects from scratch and shape how this platform and company is built.

We want someone who is independent and capable of taking responsibility for large areas of delivery. You’ll have the opportunity to build things the way you want to from scratch.

Essential Skills:

  • Strong programming skills and a track record of getting projects done
  • A passion for building great software
  • Strong PHP experience
  • Solid working proficiency of the English language

Desirable Skills:

  • Comfortable with frameworks like Laravel and Symfony
  • Experience building RESTful API’s
  • Relational and NoSQL databases
  • Experience with any of following: Angular.js, React, Golang, Node.js
  • Familiarity with Amazon Web Services

We are looking for a self-organised Senior QA Automation Engineer with strong test automation experience. Test automation is a priority for us, as we need a very quick feedback about the system status several times per day. And at the same time the QA Engineer is responsible for the quality of the system, so a good experience in testing itself is very important.

You should have analytical thinking and be driven by improving the system.

Essential Skills:

  • Test automation experience not less than 2 years
  • Experience in software systems testing not less than 3 years
  • Experience in both front-end and back-end testing
  • Understanding and knowledge of the main testing techniques and principles
  • A passion for making things work better
  • Experience in testing in Agile

  • Experience with test automation frameworks based on Java and/or Groovy

The Job

You will be a Business Development & Partnership Associate in London, with a focus on the French-speaking region to start with. Business development into insurance companies isn’t easy. Large or small, they are usually slow and reluctant to change, but they’re waking up to the fact that they need to adapt to modern demands. 

You will be engaging insurers and identifying people within them, who want to drive innovation and who can benefit from our platform solution. You will present our offering and help to chase tangible opportunities. The key is to balance the need for relationship building and consulting with structured and scalable outreach. You will also need to engage with consultancies, event organisers and accelerators so we can work together in targeting insurers.

There will be plenty of work following up with existing opportunities but we really also want you to be curious and proactive and pursue potential wherever you see it.

Responsibilities:

  • Searching for insurance companies and the right people within them
  • Identifying projects and opportunities to position our solution
  • Following up with existing opportunities and engaging relevant stakeholders internally and externally
  • Engaging with potential partners and prepare application forms and pitch presentations
  • Represent KASKO at events, to promote our solution and find customers
