Our Client
Our client, one of the leading global INSURTECH100 companies, is looking for a Head of Compliance & Operational Risk who will join the Senior Management team and support the company’s international expansion efforts. You will advise on the compliance initiatives and engage with leading digital platforms and business partners to deliver state of the art customer interaction.
The ideal candidate has solid analytical skills, attention to detail and a structured approach to working and solving problems. They should be able to work with multiple deadlines under pressure and have a startup mindset- comfortable working in a highly dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Be part of Senior Management team championing a customer centric culture and ensuring compliance
- Advise management on compliance with laws and regulations relating all international insurance distribution matters in the EEA, UK and internationally
- Advising and support on compliance with cross-jurisdictional requirements, in particular conduct of business ‘General Good’ requirements of different regions and countries the company distributes
- Have close interaction with the respective underwriters and their compliance departments.
- Advising and support the business on regulatory matters during the course of contractual negotiations with business partners and the provision of outsourced services
- Interacting with regulators on compliance issues and concerns and championing a customer- focused agenda across the business
- Overseeing and monitoring the implementation of the operational risk and control framework for the business.
- Preparing and presenting compliance reports to the Board
- Implementation and management of compliance policies and obligations
You Are
- Relevant third level qualification, intermediary (CBI approved PCF 12 Head of Compliance or equivalent.)
- At least 5 years proven experience in a compliance role in the financial services industry
- Ideally experience in cross border business (EU) and experience of ensuring compliance with consumer conduct rules in different EU Member States
- Good knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements and procedures
- Solid analytical skills with attention to detail and a structured approach to working and solving problems
