Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Junior Operations & Claims Manager to join our dynamic team based in Vienna. This role is ideal for someone who is looking to start or further a career in the insurance industry. While prior experience in claims or operations is preferred, it is not required. The successful candidate will be responsible internally for the operations and claims processes, and ensures efficiency, accuracy, and superior customer service.


Key Responsibilities:


Claims Management

  • Assist in the intake, processing, and resolution of insurance claims

  • Review and verify claim documentation for accuracy and completeness

  • Communicate with claimants, policyholders, and service providers to gather necessary information

  • Support the claims adjudication process by preparing and submitting relevant documentation


Operations Support

  • Aid the development and implementation of operational procedures and policies

  • Monitor and analyse operational metrics to identify areas for improvement

  • Coordinate with other departments to streamline processes and enhance operational efficiency

  • Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations for senior management


Customer Service

  • Provide exceptional customer service to policyholders, addressing inquiries and resolving issues in a timely manner

  • Educate clients on claim processes and policy details

  • Maintain positive relationships with clients and stakeholders through effective communication


Compliance and Risk Management

  • Ensure all claims and operational activities comply with industry regulations and company policies

  • Assist in the identification and mitigation of operational risks


Technology Integration

  • Utilise company's platform and tools to enhance claims and operations processes

  • Participate in the selection and testing of new software and technologies

  • Provide feedback on technology solutions to improve user experience and efficiency

You Are

  • Fluent in German and English

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration (ideally with focus on insurance, risk management or similar), Economics or related field

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Orientation to detail with strong organisational skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Customer-focus with a commitment to high-quality service

  • Preferred: 1-2 years of experience in claims management or insurance operations
